     This wonderful story is about a little girl that is explaining how her mother is trying to "ruin" her life, so she comes up with a plan to get rid of her mom. Once her plan is successful she runs into another problem, that is now her dad is trying to "ruin" her life. Finally once both of her parents are in jail, she then realizes that her life would really be ruined if there was nobody there to read her a bed time story or tell her it "just a dream" when she has a nightmare. In the end, she explains that she loves both of her parents very much and wouldn't know what todo without them.  
     This book would particularly great for an interactive read aloud lesson. This storyline is very meaningful, which lets the readers think about inportant things in life to learn by. I chose this book becuase I enjoyed it myself. This attractive picture book is simple, straightfoward and easy to follow along with. This is a great example of how children think their parents are trying toruin their lives when all they are really trying todo is be helpful. 

 

 

Feiffer, Kate. (2012). The Wild, Wild Inside. New York, NY: 
      Simon &Schuster Books For Young Readers.
    This high-energy story is about a baby that is about to be born into his family. Throughout the story the members of the family ask the mommy-to-be "what's the baby is doing?" at that moment in time. As she response with "he is sleeping" or "he is eating", the baby is doing many other things. The baby is doing many thrilling things such as flying in a rocket ship or in a boat in the ocean. Finally at the end of the story, mommy-to-be was right and that was, he was coming and was born!
       This book would be great for an interactive read aloud event. This story has repetition of text throughout the story that will help them engage with the story and can be used as a model for what reading really looks like and sounds like. I chose this book because it is a great book to use imagination, even though not all of the book is real it still has the children wondering what is really happening in the mothers tummy. This story is very relatable for the students to ponder about with their familys and baby brothers or sisters.  

 

Feiffer, Kate. (2009). Which Puppy? New York, NY: Simon & 
        Schuster Books For Young Readers.
     This intriuging book is about which puppy will get chosen to go to the white house. Thoughout the story the dogs get to decide which puppy should go to the white house to be the presidents daughters new puppy. Finally they decide to send three of their best dogs, including one that is a guinea pig. Once the three arrive at the White House, they thought the girls had already decided on a different puppy so they started to walk out of the house. To only find out, the girls wanted them too. 
     This book would be great for an interactive read aloud event. Since this book is very advanced and very detailed it is great for comprehension questions. Thoughout this story is very engaging and has meaningful text about a subject that is relatable. I chose this book because it is very relatable to students when it comes to pets in the family. It is a cute book that has great illustrations that are appealing to children. It will also let the students see that text and pictures go together.

      Simon & Schuster Books For Young Readers.
     This playful book is about a boy who thinks life is unfair and wants todo something about it. He realizes that his life is unfair when his dad doesn't let him watch tv after he does all of his chores. So he runs for President and his dog, Lilly, is his Vice President. After he campaignes as the "Birthday" Party, and says that he wants to make life fair, he wins by a landslide. He takes his seat in presidency, he sees that being the president has a lot of duties and resigns. Leaving the Vice President, Lilly, as the new President, he knew that life would now be fair. 
     This book would be great for an interactive read aloud event. Along with print concepts this book has a meaningful story lne that allows children to learn about topics around them. I chose this book because I found it to be a light hearted book to read with a great story line. It will have the students in the classroom wanting to know what happens next and if he wins presidency. 
Feiffer, Kate. (2010). I Wanted A Baby Brother! New York, NY: 
     Simon & SchusterBooks For Young Readers. 
    This hilarious book is about a boy named Oliver, who was very disappointed that his parents brought home a baby sister instead of a baby brother. In determination he would do whatever it take to find a baby brother, even if it ment trading in his sister. He tried many efforts but all were unsuccessful, he then came to realized that no one can replace that part of his family, even if she was a girl. At the end, he was happy he had a baby sister after all. 
     This book would be great for an interactive read aloud. It is a longer book so an older grade would be the most efficant. Thinking aloud and modeling how a good reader works would be great for this book because it has many parts to it explaining everything that is going on. I chose this book becuase it is very silly and couldbe relatable to the students in the classroom even if its not about having a baby sister instead of a brother. Getting somehthing they didnt want instead of what they wanted doesn't always turn out bad. It has great morals throughout the book.  
Feiffer, Kate. (2011). My Side of the Car. New York, NY: Simon
     & SchusterBooks For Young Readers.
    This optimistic book is about a little girl named Sadie, that wants to go to the zoo so very badly, bbut something always gets in the way. One time it was because of her mom breaking her arm, another was her dog got lost, but this time nothing was getting in the way. On the way to the zoo, her father says that is is raining. But when Sadie looked out her winder she did not see rain she say the sun shining. This is a story about a girl that wants to go to the zoo, no matter what the weather is like. 
    This warmhearted story is a great book for a interactive read aloud. This would be great to introduce the prediction strategy to students. Using what they seen from the beginning of the story to figure out what will happen at the end of the story would be great to use. I chose this book because it is very relatable and would be great for the strategy of prediction. It is also great to see family's doing things together. 
Feiffer, Kate. (2009). The Problem with the Puddles. New 
      York, NY: Simon & SchusterBooks For Young Readers.
     This exciting book is about a family that just can't agree on anything. They can't agree on anything including their baby daughters name and their dogs as well. They can't agree on what kind of dog to get so they get two, but both are named Sally. But one day in a rush they forget both dogs when traveling from their country house to their city house. They have to agree on what they want todo, either go back to get the Sallys or leave them there.
     This book would be great for an interactive chapter book read aloud. This book would be suitable for older grade levels, such as third or fourth grade. This book is great for perdictions as well, when they have to decide weather or not they should go back for the dogs. It will keep the students on their toes to figure out what is going to happen next. I chose this book because it is a great story for perdictions and to have fun with a book.

     ​A little girl named Lucy wants to be the world's most famous handwriting expert. When Lucy finds out that her neighbor, Zelda, is missing she wants to know what happened. The only clue is a cryptic handwritten note that was left. Lucy is determined to crack the code using her graphology skills. From the help of her neighbor, Nick, who lives upstairs and the advice from her Pigeon she figures out where the missing resident went. 
    This book would be wonderful for a interactive read aloud event. For older grades becuase it is a chapter book, the children can be taught helpful stratigies. Many comprehension questions can be used from this book as well. I chose this book because it was interesting to me. If I was interested by the book I figured so would students. With the mystery of the book leading the way, this is a fun fill and eventful book for students of older grades. 
Feiffer, Kate. (2005). Double Pink. New York, NY: Simon & 
     Schuster Books for Young Readers.  
     This energizing book is about a little baby girl that grows up and is obsesed with the color pink! She even says it as her first word "Pink!" She goes to the extreem that she wants everything she owns as pink. Finally she realizes that she missed her old things with all different colors such as her brown bear. She tries to rub off the pink things that she has to realize its too late. At the end of the story she then see that it is okay to have things that are pink just not everything. 
    This book would be great to use as an interactive read aloud. It has many emotions and tons of stratigies can be used in this story. Letting the students listen and use comprehension to understand the storyline. I chose this book because it is quite funny. It also caught my attention and I hope that it will catch the children's attention too. This story also provides interesting text structure.  
Feiffer, Kate. (2012). No Go Sleep! New York, NY: Simon & 
     Schuster Books For Young Reader. 
    This beautifuly illustrated book is about a baby that does not want ot fall asleep at night. When his mother and father say it is time for sleep he chants "No go sleep". The world around him than gradually goes to sleep and he repeates "no go sleep". Finally after many things around him go to sleep like the sun, the moon, the sheep, tree, and owl,he finally falls asleep. 
     With this wonderful book, a shared reading event is plausable for it. With the illustrations connecting to the text, it can show the children how to read text and learn about how text works as well. With the repition of the words it is inviting to the young children to read along with the book. I chose this book becuase it has many great details about it for beginner. Along with text and a great storyline, the illustrations are wonderful to follow along and look at.
